Mecânica Exacta was founded in 1947 on the outskirts of Porto, Portugal's second city, and has built presses without interruption ever since. In the 1960s the company moved into a purpose-built plant in S. Paio de Oleiros — a 22 000 m² site, 12 000 m² of it under roof — which remains our headquarters today.

What we build has stayed consistent: complete lines for sheet-metal forming, from a single press to a fully integrated stamping cell. What changes is the engineering behind each one — every solution is sized, designed and validated in-house for the part, tonnage and rate the customer needs.

Nearly eight decades on, that mix of a single point of responsibility and a deep manufacturing base is what customers on four continents rely on — for the development of a project and the after-sales support that keeps it running for decades.
